David and Goliath 2!

First game, UST vs AdU, lights off in the arena, we arrived an hour before the game starts.

Second game -- UP got smothered by ADMU 93-75, it has been expected by not only me for sure but the upset at the first round was still marvelous, a classic example of "don't underestimate your opponent". It was a full house event, even though we arrived so early...the tickets were sold out, though we had the SRO tickets for the ring side (I don't know if I'll consider it we were lucky).

The fighting maroons started the ball game flat agaisnt the 14 point lead of the blue eagles. And the same problem continuous for the Diliman-based squad as the game proceed being down by more than 10 point margin. However the UP pep squad performed like a champion on the halftime, perking up the spirit of the 'downed' maroons.

Moving along in the game..at some point of the 3rd quarter, father of Arvie Braganza, UP's team captain, was bed into the stretcher because he feinted within the crowd. We were there a couple of seats away which imposed the game to be stopped. Everybody was startled..while the medics were not yet at the scene, atenean seatmates were trying to help out in aid. Both UP and ADMU players went to their respective huddles to offer prayers, same with the crowd. An applaud was heard as the stretcher was lift onto the ambulance for medical aid.

The game resumed, the story unfolded with the same drama. I was expecting it to happen, nevertheless I enjoyed the stay with my family. Probably the last UP game we'll watch for this season. Until next year, UP FIGHT!
