Filipino Finalist at HP SPACE
Last night as I browsed some good program to watch.. I was drifted to Channel V Philippines, there's a reality show called HP SPACE which is composed of Asian contestants that will compete in a cyberspace-- they're provided with high-tech gadgets and facility to work with in order to thrive the cyber-related challenges.
Raffy Francisco and Adrienne Vergara
There are two Filipinos in the competition namely: Adrienne Vergara and Raffy Francisco that captivated my attention. As the narration progressed I found out that unfortunately Adrienne didn't make it to the finals but on the other hand Raffy has a shot on the grand prize worth $50,000 USD and a golden opportunity to work for Anime International Company who made the Anime hit "Bubblegum Crisis".Prom Queen by Bunkface - Raffy Francisco's final test
Luckily for me to at least watch the final episode of the cool reality show, it's like watching a high-end version of Survivor. Anyway, the last challenge is about making a music video of the assigned band on a theme of innovation, technology, and creativity-- HP inspired.
Raffy Francisco is in the fray with two other finalists from China and Singapore, so it's a three way dance making it harder to hit the jackpot. However Raffy is a professional video director which gave him the upper hand while the other two are not but they'll be all working with the former contestants which got eliminated, but they're considered as a helping hand in a great scale because some of them are video directors as well so it will not be easy at all for the favored Filipino. It's still everybody's ball game.
Whoever will win the competition, his/her video will be used by the band, thus will be played exclusively at Channel V. The winner will be unveiled next week at the HP SPACE reunion special at 7pm, 29th of December, same channel.
I wish you all the luck Mr.Raffy Francisco. Pinoy rocks.

Mind in a World of Minds
Regardless who you are, there are things in life we can't control. So many factors that can come across in the street where we stand, can bump in an instance, in any given time. A choice of people, result for those who are afflicted, and yet destiny as some may excuse themselves.
Terms will just be terms but the bottom line is we're just like a raft in an ocean-- no matter how hard we paddle, as long as the waves surge in our way, choice will be discounted..and it will just drift us to an unfamiliar territory which we didn't plan at all.
Even though sometimes life puts us in back seat. Yes fate might put us entirely where it mind but we can still have a choice within us. A will to adapt and live to a circumstance where we least expect, an uncomfortable zone, and a tragedy that wound feelings. We can't do anything about the things we can't decide on but we can be STRONG in despite of-- A mighty weapon in an arsenal called heart.

Had Enough of Black
Since time immemorial I was never a fan of white shoes, I always prefer the dark one's because I had a foolish belief that it matches the color of my hair, bottom and top, well that's not the case now. This weekend I decided to go against the tide, I tried anew.
My first white footwear out of the dark.
It still has a pinch of dark colors but hey the laces are white. ((:

LAL Highlight!
I've been missing a lot of NBA action these past months as Sky Cable (our cable provider) decided to end their BTV promo. We would like to avail the channel but for some reasons, we always tend to forget. Oh well maybe local basketball is keeping us okay, but I'd like to share some good LAL highlights that happened recently which I found through the net.
Okay he got FISHED! His reaction was so classic, I didn't know that he'll have the same expression as well being owned by someone. I thought I'll just see it exclusively on his "What-did-I-do-foul" situations, haha! Anyway, let's move to the glorifying moment this time. ((:
Kobe: Oops I did it again.. ((:
I've been fed by these great highlights which satisfied my NBA craving. Poor me, I have to wait for Saturday to watch an NBA game on Star Sports. Thanks to the net though it keeps me updated with the best actions around the league.

Ten Days More
Sampung araw bago mag pasko. We decided to display our Chirstmas tree.
When I checked the mail box two days ago, the messenger already left an envelope which has a greeting of "Merry Christmas" with the bills, otherwise I wouldn't notice Christmas is near. During evenings, Christmas carrols from the children are in frequent times and surely it will be followed by the organized one's, they don't accept coins argh! Hehehe. Neighbors are starting to display their beautiful parols which makes their houses shine with colorful lights. The spirit of the season is in town. Let there be peace and love to everyone. (:

Jabbawockeez!
While I'm resting at the bed, my brother Jig used to watch this American dance show, and I was amazed and entertained by those great moves. It kinda turned me to another person, and suddenly I want to learn how to dance (it's just the high! hehe!).
The episode was dedicated to the "Thriller" album of Michael Jackson which staged some of the classic tracks of it for the competition. Well what can I say? I got served! Have to download those great songs.
Lots of respect for you MJ! No wonder you are the king.. +1 to zillion fans!

Last Hurrah!
Nike Classic-- my dad's shoes when he was younger.
I had a horrendous basketball performance last week. Maybe thinking too much of problems that got into the way. Well I was really horrified about myself, I can't play like that again in a do-or-die situation tomorrow. With my new shoes, I believe at least it will help me feel better. As they say "when you look good, you feel good" maybe it can help a bit. Hopefully I'll be fine and play the best because it will be my last two games with the Stallions because I'll leave for Norway summer next year.

You and I by Richard Poon
The music is all about a simple romantic story which an unfortunate event ended the lovely times, though they kept a lot of lovely memories-- ample to cherish for a life time.
Life is a never ending change. We never know what will happen the next minute or so.. If you have a special someone in your life, you should cherish every moment with him/her because one day may come that you'll wake up alone and will face the day on your own. Saddening but it's the reality of life, unexpected things can happen.
Being with the person you are contented and happy is truly a gift, yet making unforgettable moments with, are priceless treasures that will remain for eternity. Whatever may happen tomorrow, you can proudly tell yourself in pure dignity and clean conscience that "at least I try.."

Dedication
Last night it was cold and it has been these past nights.. My lips are getting dry more often thanks to the yuletide season! I woke up with a redish lips, it burst upon the coldness, shouldn't have used the aircon. ((: The breeze of the wind compliments well with the humid morning; perfect sun, just-right temperature, birds chirping in the garden, a pleasant way to start the day.
Later today I have a basketball game which is so important for my team and to myself either. I promise to my lola a year ago that whenever my team reach the finals, she has to watch. After two conferences my team fell short but tonight is about redemption. The victory tonight means my team will finally have it's first appearance in the finals as well with my lola, so it's about winning the competition and my promise to lola -- hitting two birds with one stone is my very goal today.
I know this would be a tough test to my team since we've dropped twice in the same situation before. I'm hopeful that this is the time to jump over the hurdle because we've learned enough. I'll do my best to let my lola watch me play in the championship, I'll make her proud of me. It's duly time to unwrap the promise of yesterday.

Physical game is a welcome site but violence is another thing.
As I rest in my bed this late afternoon.. I've watched a collegiate basketball game between the Letran Knights and the San Sebastian Stags. The PCCL (Philippine Collegiate Champioship League) is near the tournament's conclusion as the games today we're the last prior the final four wars which will be staged this coming Saturday. Letran is the only team that beat the San Sebastian at the elimination of this year's NCAA so I was excited to watch the ball game knowing this would be a tightly contested match.
The San Sebastian Golden Stags are the NCAA defending champions. On the other hand, the Letran Knights are champions in their own minds as they hold a victory over the league champions. The knights are known to be a physical team. Hence no one is going to give it up without a hell of a fight, with this kind of context, it spells no less than a war.

Jam Cortez, Letran's PF -- If you're really a good basketball player, why can't you hit the ring instead?
Physical game is a welcome site but violence is another thing. Letran Knights were down by a big margin the whole game as the San Sebastian Stags showed a fantastic basketball performance from start towards the end, however their opponents were giving out unnecessary actions like throwing elbows and other dirty tricks that promotes violence but it was neglected by the stags as they kept their composure and focus even though they took lots of love in the competition, indeed a classy act. The game unfolded with 5 unsportsman-like fouls for the honorable knights.
The Letran Knights is a notorious team for being more than "physical" or should I say way beyond the description? It's true that basketball is a contact sport but actions which are for combat sports per se are clearly not allowed. Letran Knights-basketball is projecting an unhealthy method of competition. Hurting a player will not earn a point neither respect. Playing dirty is not going make a basketball player better, so it has no room for basketball at all, otherwise just go hit a sport where it belongs. ((:
"If you lose your concentration, you're gone" - Eric Tipan's comment to San Sebastian against Letran's way of basketball.

Money Matters

Money can't buy happiness but it can buy marshmallows, which are kinda the same thing -- it reminds me of a friend whom in a terrifying angst last night because his gf left him over a person who has a huge bag of marshmallows. ((:
Ganon talaga ang buhay.. Money can buy everything, thus even the intangibles can be bought, yet dignity and pride are the top sellers. Reality bites but we can't bite back which hurts the most.

A Voice for Change
Everyone of us has a responsibility in our society, just like in home..we care, and that's the mentality we should keep when we set our feet outside of our doorsteps. There are handful of problems now outside our windows which we should be parting in like choosing the right leaders for our country, saving our planet from climate change, solving recession, and many more issues in different magnitudes. These problems can escalate to a far worse scenario if we will not do our part.
We can move mountains if we only care. Simple deeds that would help the complicated problems of our society that seriously threatens US--who will suffer but can cease it from happening. Let our voices be heard for a common cause.
Umpisahan natin sa ating mga sarili. Through little things like throwing our trash into the garbage cans, unplugging our appliances if we're done using it, participating in the election, and yet more daily activities that we haven't thought that can make a difference but surely it can. Let's start thinking and caring, we can all be heroes. (:
